2004 INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON INDUSTRIAL DESIGN & THE 9th CHINA INDUSTRIAL DESIGN ANNUAL MEETING

FOREWORD:
Aiming at the promoting the healthy development of industrial design and improving innovative product design and design quality, the International Conference on Industrial Design is held in China annually by different host cities and it has already been held in the city of Jinan, Shengyang and etc. The conference will be held in the city of Ningbo, China from November 26th to 29th this year. Ningbo is one of the biggest harbor cities and an important economic center of the Yangzi river triangle economic zone located in the east coast of China.

Held by the Ministry of Appearance Design Examination of the State Intellectual Property Office of P. R. China and the Industrial Design Branch of Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society corporately, the theme of the 2004 International Conference on Industrial Design is," Innovation¡¤Property Right ¡¤Competence". The forum will invite government leaders, famous designers, scholars, and entrepreneurs to give key speeches on giving topics. You may acquire the latest news and information on the new development of Industrial Design both home and aboard, as well as share and exchange the experience and information with relevant people in the field. The conference has already selected 200 papers on the giving theme from all over the world and will later publish them in the proceeding.

In addition, the 2004 conference will hold three design contests at the same time: "Geely" cup national car design contest, "Biaocheng" cup national eye glasses design contest and "3-nod" cup best industrial designer contest.
