| 1. Objective of the Competition It is to select an architectural design of excellence so that the selected architect(s) and the promoter may jointly create a work of architecture accommodating the needs of ACC in an innovative, artistic and economic way.
2. Type & Language of the Competition It is an Open International Project Competition in a Single Stage, approved by UIA (International Union of Architects). The official language is English.
3. Promoter of the Competition The Ministry of Culture and Tourism (MCT), Republic of Korea is the promoter. It is re-sponsible for financing the competition and all matters related to its supervision. It endorses the decision of the competition jury, and organizes the follow-up measures of the outcome of the competition.
The Executive Agency for Culture Cities of the MCT is the executive unit which exclusively deals with the competition and the related matters.

, Professional Advisor (no voting privilege) At its first meeting, the jury elects its chair. A jury member who is absent at its first meeting is disqualified, and the alternate member is made a titular member. The jury decision is made by a majority vote. For a brief absence by a jury member, the alternate jury member will participate in the jury proceeding. The professional advisor assists the jury and is present at all times during adjudication but has no vote. The expert advisor provides specific knowledge and shares his experiences in the cultural complex to the jury during adjudication, but has no vote.

6. Awards , 1st Prize: USD 200,000 The first prize winner will be commissioned as architect for the realization of the building. Development of the project will be in agreement with the promoter and in compliance with the Korean building standards. , Two (2) 2nd Prizes: USD 50,000 each , Four (4) 3rd Prizes: USD 30,000 each , Ten (10) Honorable Mentions: USD 20,000 each
