Any interactive project created for digital distribution on the World Wide Web, CD-ROM, interactive kiosk or handheld device is eligible.
Selected by a nationally representative panel of distinguished programmers, interface designers and creative directors, the winning entries will be published in the September/October Interactive Annual of Communication Arts and on our Web site. 75,000 copies will be distributed worldwide, assuring important exposure to the creators of these outstanding projects.
Eligibility Any interactive project created for digital distribution on the World Wide Web, CD-ROM, interactive kiosk or handheld device is eligible. CA is not responsible for damage or loss of any entry. Submission of an entry acknowledges the right of Communication Arts to use it for exhibition and publication.
Preparation of Entries Entries may be submitted in the following formats: Web site URL, Macintosh- or PC-based CD-ROMs, Zip or Jaz cartridges, or 1.4mb floppies (limit 3 per entry); DVD-ROMs. DOS entries not accepted. All entries should be self-running applications. Entries not available in these formats may be submitted on 3/4" videotape cassette. The videotape must convey the look and feel of the interactive project and be no longer than five minutes in duration.
Preparation of Packages Address packages to Communication Arts Interactive Annual 10. Non-United States contestants should mark each package "Materials for Contest Entry. No Commercial Value. ̄ No provision will be made by CA for U.S. Customs or airport pickup. International entries should be sent by post or international courier. All entries must be received by January 15, 2004.
Forms and Entry Fees Entry fees are $100 (U.S.) per Web site entry and $125 (U.S.) per disk-based entry. There are no additional fees if your entry is selected as a winner. Form A and the entry fees must accompany your package of entries. Make checks payable to Communication Arts. Foreign contestants must send an International Money Order or a check in U.S. funds drafted on a U.S. bank. Form B (or a facsimile) must be taped to the back of each disk or videotape. Insert floppy disk entries in plastic sleeves and tape the Form B to the sleeve.
Acknowledgment of Receipt of Entries As soon as we open your package, we will send an acknowledgment via e-mail to you.
Winning Entries Only accepted entries will be notified on or before April 15, 2004. Complete credits, proof of rights clearances and any reproduction materials will be requested at that time. Entrants who submit pieces on videotape will be asked for screen dumps and sound samples for reproduction. Please note that CA will be unable to publish or exhibit any winning entry that does not provide adequate proof that all necessary rights clearances have been obtained. Award of Excellence certificates for firms, individuals and clients will be mailed in September 2004.
