One Month to Go Until Dongguan Cup Awards Submission Deadline
Deadline for submission of works of the 2006 Dongguan Cup International Industrial Design will be June 30 ---- 12 pm, by postmark or the time your email arrives. Since it was launched, this Event, now well under way, has received great attention from all walks of life - academic institutes, professional workshops and business entities. The Organizing Committee has received over 300 items of works from home and abroad, among which there are more than 50 from Hong Kong and Taiwan, more than 10 from abroad. It is expected that the last five days will be the submission peak times in terms of email submission; therefore should you plan your work timetable in order to allow us sufficient time to get everything organized, as well as resolve last minute problems or issues that may arise. The Organizing Committee hereby announces that:
1. It is highly recommended that the final works, accompanied by the description, be submitted four to five working days before the abovementioned deadline to be in your favor of successful submission and receiving prompt review.
2. In the case of DVD or VCD submission, it is strongly recommended it should be sent out by June, 28 via express delivery to ensure their its arrival by June, 30.
3. Due to non-compliance of the entrance requirements, including the categories, layout dimensions, resolution, and Chinese / English description, please pay enough attention to the merits of requirement to avoid unnecessary re-modification and re-submission. 4. Should within 48 working hours the email submission can not be properly conducted, or the reply of confirmation of the Organizing Committee does not return to you, with the exception of the week into which the submission deadline falls, you are suggested to send to another email to dgid@163.com. However, the same email submission should not be sent twice in order to avoid improper function of the mailing account. We shall give your prompt reply ASAP. The 2006 Dongguan Cup International Industrial Design Awards with its professional jury lineup of famous international designers again welcomes all the prospective entrants. It provides a rare opportunity to the design circle, for there are a variety of awards up to over 60 items, with the total amount of prizes up to 1,000,000 RMB (around US$120,000), including 6 entrants from the Open Group will be awarded Golden Prize with 50,000RMB (around US$6,000) plus a "Design Travel to Japan and South Korea" for 7-8 days, respectively.
